My advice to students would be to get a network of informed people who will advice you on how to proceed. Wyoming is the best for education.
I was required to obtain a TOEFEL certificate where I was to attach with other documents. I prepared for these tests by consulting a friend who had sat for the same and who advised me to attend classes in a college for coaching. Being an athlete I used the services of my training camp. Yes a visa was required. In the visa interview you just play with your mind. To get tickets to my destination was easy but this is so as long you got money. I used the Emirates airline and it was good and offered a student fare. I landed at DIA airport, its 2hrs to the institution, only one baggage less than 50 lbs, excess charged, long queues at the immigration counter.

The structure of my program is best and am given room for improvement. Lecture halls and library is ok, we have full sports facilities.
The university accommodation I live in are good. Not easy for international students to get hold of part time jobs. Pretty social scene with fantastic night life but cold weather. There is an international society, it organizes cultural events. Bring warm attire, really cold out here.
There is a placement cell at the university, but not easy to get jobs. The placement fairs are attended by global organizations. Go through same process of job search but a little hard to be considered, hard to get work permit. There is an alumni society which is active.
